On Sunday, December 15th 2019, the Baxley First United Methodist Church was damaged by fire. The fire was caused by advent candles.
Luckily, the fire was put out quickly and no one was harmed.
Due to the fire, the Arts  Council of Appling County’s Community Christmas Concert has been cancelled. The event was going to sponsor the Food Bank of Appling County, so please consider making a donation this holiday season.
