Former Long County High School Assistant Band Director Michael Loredo made his first appearance in front of a judge on Friday.
Loredo was arrested after the Long County Sheriff’s Office, and GBI investigated claims of inappropriate sexual conduct with students from the school.
Investigators say the incidents happened at a hotel on a school trip.
“Today, we brought him back to Long County for his first appearance before the magistrate judge on two counts of sexual assault. Mr. Loredo was arrested in Brantley County earlier, and they were housing him up there until he was brought back to Long County,” said Craig Nobles, Long Co. Sheriff.
Loredo has been denied bond and will remain in jail. There is no word on his next court date.
