On Saturday, June 18, police discovered the corpse of Tony Overstreet Jr. The corpse was found following an investigation that began with a “shots fired” report being called in to police dispatch. A vehicle found at the scene had sustained numerous gunshots. Later, across town, a second vehicle that had sustained gunshots was found.
Today, arrest warrants were issued for five suspects in connection with the murder. Four of them are already in custody: Pierre Alston, Jerome Maxwell, Nyiesha Nails and Lataysha Morgan. A fifth suspect, Keitric McCaskey, is still at large.
Alston, Maxwell, and McCaskey are expected to face charges of murder and armed robbery. Nails and Morgan are expected to face charges of concealment of facts.
