Theft reported on 11-03-16, investigation led to the arrest of Damian Allen Griffin age 20 of Baxley.  Griffin was charged with Theft by Taking.
11-09-16—Answered a call to Dollar General/Graham in reference to an Assault. Complainant stated she and her boyfriend had an altercation. Appling EMS was called but complainant refused treatment. Boyfriend left the scene before officers arrived.
11-10-16—Answered a call to Ben Carter Road in reference to Entering Auto Theft. Complainant stated someone took the CD audio player from inside her vehicle. Investigation continues.
11-11-16—Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to an Unwanted Subject which led to the arrest of Susan Meeks age 43 of Hazlehurst, Ga. Meeks was charged with Drugs to be Kept in Original Container, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, VGCS/Clonazepam, Possession of Drugs/Weapons by Inmates, Possession of Firearm or Knife While Trying to Commit  Crimes, and VGCS/Oxycodone.
11-11-16—Answered a call to Parkers/Surrency in reference to a Gas Drive Off.
Employee stated a male subject pumped $35.00 worth of gas and drove off without paying.
11-11-16—Answered a call to Industrial Drive in reference to a one vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-11-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 341 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.

11-12-16—Answered a call to Buckhead Road in reference to a Domestic which led to the arrest Matthew Dylan Greene age 17 of Baxley. Greene was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Disorderly Conduct.
11-12-16—Answered a call to Dana Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone had stolen his food stamp card.  Complainant cancelled card and applied for a new card.
11-12-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 341 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-12-16—Answered a call to Gardenia Circle in reference to a Domestic which led to the arrest of Carly Campbell Brown age 33 of Baxley. Brown was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
11-12-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report Threats. Complainant stated his ex-wife’s husband had made threats toward him and his daughter.
11-12-16—Answered a call to Live Oak Lane in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated he found where subjects had taken his firewood and that wood had been stacked in a truck on his property.  Subject stated he had bought the wood from an individual in another town. Complainant did not want to press charges, just wanted the subject to stay off of his property.
11-13-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 341 West in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-13-16—Answered a call to Moody Altman Road in reference to a Domestic which led to the arrest of Shane Mijat Gillis age 34 of Baxley. Gillis was charged with Simple Battery/Family Violence.
11-13-16—Answered a call to US#1 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-14-16—Answered a call to Intersection Hwy. 15 & 202 in reference to a vehicle fire. Complainant stated her vehicle started smoking then caught on fire. Vehicle was towed by local wrecker service.
11-14-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that had occurred on Lake Mayers Road. Complainant stated someone had broken into his house and stolen several household items valued at approximately $1,000.00.
11-14-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Burglary that occurred on Ben Carter Road.  Complainant stated she is missing her anniversary ring, another gold ring with diamonds, and a pair of hoop earrings with diamonds.  Possible suspect named.  Investigation continues.
11-14-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report Damage to Property on James Stanfield Road.  Complainant stated someone had taken her cattle fence off the post ran over it and trash, beer cans and coolers were thrown out on the property. Investigation continues.
11-14-16—Answered a call to Phillipi Church Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-15-16—A routine traffic stop on Hwy. 15 led to the arrest of Sharee Lateema Valentine age 34 of Hazlehurst, Ga. Valentine was charged with Following too Closely, Turning signal Required, Drugs to be Kept in Original Container, and VGCS/Xanax.
11-15-16—Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to a Civil Matter. Complainant stated she believes Satilla REMC/or a company that works for them cut two rows of pine trees on her family property.
11-15-16—Answered a call to Phillipi Church Road in reference to a Prowler.  Complainant stated his dogs were barking outside, when going outside to check he believes he saw two subjects.
11-15-16—Answered a call to San Marco Drive in reference to a Domestic.  Complainant stated she and her boyfriend had an altercation. Offender left the residence before officers arrived.
11-15-16—Answered a call to Errin Lane in reference to a Burglary.  Complainant stated his 2011 Ford F-150 Pickup, Marlin rifle, Ruger, 9” Ausus Tablet, and Droid Cell Phone.  Investigation led to the vehicle being recovered, and Marlin Rifle being recovered. Warrants are forthcoming.
11-15-16—Answered a call to Ten Mile Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
11-16-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on Zoar Road.  Complainant stated go-cart engines, carburetors, clutches go-cart frames , generator, mig welder, and fiberglass car ramps were stolen from the property.  Possible suspect was named. Investigation continues.
11-16-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on Landing Road. Complainant stated two guns and several other items were stolen. Investigation led to the arrest of Brittany Ann Guerra age 30 of Baxley. Guerra was charged with Theft by Taking. When Guerra was brought into the Appling Detention she was found to be in possession of Drugs. Guerra was also charged with VGCS/Metha and Crossing Guard Lines with Drugs.  Additional warrants and arrest are forthcoming.  Investigation continues. Guns were recovered and returned to the owner.
11-16-16—Answered a call to Ronnie Turner Circle in reference to a Structure Fire. Complainant stated the family’s equipment shelter was on fire.  Red Oak Fire Department and Fourth District Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
11-16-16—Answered a call to Appling Healthcare ER in reference to an Assault. Victim stated while walking down roadway he asked an unknown person for directions, person then struck him in the face and drove away.
11-17-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report Threats. Complainant stated her boyfriend had made threats against her life and her family.  Complainant was going to another county for safety. Sheriff’s Office of County complainant went to was notified of the threats.
11-18-16—Answered a call to US #1 South in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
