On September 16, 2016, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Cochran Police Department to investigate the shooting death of Devonte Raqualle Johnson, age 24, of East Dublin, GA.

Preliminary information indicates that Johnson was shot at a party at the “Community House” in Cochran, GA at around 12:10 AM.  He was pronounced dead at the Navicent Health Medical Center upon arrival.

At this point, no one is in custody.  The GBI and the Cochran Police Department are actively pursuing leads with the assistance of the Middle GA State University Police providing assistance.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the GBI at 478-374-6988 or the Cochran Police Department at 478-934-1037.
