On August 19, Shawn Hammitt was thrown from his 2016 Honda ATV when it collided with a stump at a location in north Ware County.

Hammitt, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, was taken by helicopter to Savannah’s Memorial Medical Center. Fortunately, he is expected to survive. He suffered injures to his back and foot.
