On July 21, 2016, the Savannah City Council reached a settlement with the widow of 82-year-old musician Ben Tucker.

Tucker lost his life after a car crashed into his golf cart near a Savannah golf course. Family members of Tucker blamed the city of Savannah for removing speed limit signs near the scene of the accident.

The city of Savannah will pay $200,000 to Tucker’s estate.
