A terrifying situation unfolded in Waycross on July 17. In the mid-afternoon, police received a call from the victim’s sister-in-law, stating that she believed that Bard Hardee was holding her against her will.

She informed police that Hardee was likely armed.

Police arrived at the scene and, using their cars’ PA systems to talk to the suspect, were able to convinced him to release his wife and surrender.

Brad Hardee, age 37, was arrested and placed in the Ware County jail. His wife is receiving treatment for a broken arm.
