Appling County School District is in the process of applying for a College and Career Academy Grant. “This is a grant for $3.1 million that could be utilized to consolidate and expand our current Work Force Development Initiatives that Appling County School District has been working on diligently,” said Superintendent Doctor Scarlett Miles Copeland.
A panel of experts reviewed and scored the application for the grant. Representatives from the Technical College System of Georgia reported that the Appling County School District’s application scored high enough to qualify to present in the final round of competition in Atlanta. The District will be presenting to the state panel in November!
