On 11/18/2018 at approx. 10:11 am Officers from the Douglas Police Dept. responded to the area of Ethel St. and Fales Ave. in reference to gunshots being fired. Prior to arriving on scene Officers were advised by 911 of an individual inside the Sunoco Gas Station on E. Ward St. that had been shot. Officers arrived and found 31 year old, Terrance Daniel Gibson, inside the location unresponsive. Officers began life-saving efforts until EMS arrived. Mr. Gibson was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Mr. Gibson is believed to have been walking to the Sunoco Store when he was shot in the back. Investigators from the Douglas Police Dept. are following all leads in this case to locate the individual(s) responsible for the death of Mr. Gibson. The Douglas Police Department is asking anyone with any information in this case to contact the Douglas Police Department’s Investigative Unit. Persons with information can, and will, remain anonymous if they wish. The City of Douglas and the Douglas Police Dept. are offering $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible.
