The Appling County Lady Pirate softball team defeated Long County on Thursday night. They won by a score of 3-1. That makes them the third seed in the region for state playoffs.
They will face the Islands High School Sharks in an away game for the first round of the state playoffs. The date and time for the game is TBA.
