08-03-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft that occurred on County Farm Road. Complainant stated taken from Phillippi Church was a Murray weed eater and also a box of Christmas decorations. Investigation continues.
08-05-16—Answered a call to Janis Street in reference to a Domestic. Complainant stated she and her boyfriend had an altercation she tried to leave but would not let her. Boyfriend left the residence before officer arrived.
08-05-16—Answered a call to Eula Courson Road in reference to a Burglary. Investigation led to the arrest of Rhonda Janelle Hartzog age 42 of Baxley and Kenneth Jefferson Mercer age 55 of Baxley. Hartzog was charged with one count Burglary. Mercer was charged with two counts of Burglary. Investigation continues.
08-05-16—Answered a call to Avery Lane in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated taken from his shop was a Clark 110 Wire Welder and also a weed eater. Investigation continues.
08-05-16—Answered a call to Old Surrency Road in reference to a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
08-05-16—Complainant advised the Sheriff’s Office of Damage to Property. Four mail boxes were torn down on Savannah Way.
08-06-16—Answered a call to Dubberly Road in reference to a Domestic. Husband threw wife’s clothes in the yard. Husband left the residence.
08-08-16—Answered a call to Oscar Tippins Road in reference to Irate Subject which led to the arrest of Brett Everett Downs age 41 of Baxley. Downs was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
08-08-16—Answered a call to Coot Jones Road/Surrency, Ga. in reference to Threats. Complainant stated a subject had made threats against his life. Subject was found and advised not to return to the complainant’s home.
08-08-16—Answered a call to West River Road in reference to an Assault. Fifteen year old male juvenile stated he was walking home and an unknown white male grabbed him, and they fell to the ground, juvenile grabbed a broken bottle and cut the offender’s arm. Juvenile stated he broke loose and ran home. Area was patrolled but no one was found.
08-09-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Burglary that occurred on Moody Altman Road. Complainant stated he was missing a STIHL Hedge Trimmer and a Husqvarna Chainsaw both valued at $450.00 each. Investigation led to warrants being secured for Caleb Perry age 24 of Baxley and Jennifer Brooks age 35 of Baxley. Both subjects are now incarcerated in County Jails. Both items stolen were recovered and returned to owner.
08-09-16—Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated missing from his truck is his Marlin gun, and also items that were order that the post office stated were delivered were also missing. Investigation continues. Gun was entered into GCIC records as stolen.
08-09-16—Answered a call to Okie Bay Road in reference to Financial Identity Fraud. Complainant stated she was contacted by a collection agency about an outstanding account with Direct T.V. Complainant stated she has never done business with this company and did not live at the address they stated the services were rendered too. Investigation continues.
08-09-16—Answered a call to Prentiss Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated missing from his residence is his Mossberg gun. Gun was entered into GCIC records as stolen. Investigation continues with possible suspects.
08-09-16—Answered a call to Oak Dale Circle in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone has stolen his Kobalt 8 gallon tank air compressor from his residence. Investigation continues.
08-10-16—Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to a one-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
08-11-16—A routine traffic stop on Phillipi Church Road led to the arrest of Shauna Eden Pearson age 36 of Baxley, and Kimberly Ann Beckworth age 47 of Baxley. Pearson was charged with Possession of Drug Related Object. Beckworth was charged with Brake and Tail Lights Required, and Possession of Drug Related Object.
08-11-16—A routine traffic stop on County Farm Road led to the arrest of Kenneth Turner age 42 of Glenwood, Ga. Turner was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
08-12-16—Answered a call to Zoar Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
08-12-16—Answered a call to Gardner Road in reference to an Abandoned Vehicle. Vehicle was towed due to public safety hazard.
