The SCMPD reported that a shooting on Bull Street occurred at approximately 6:30 pm on September 4.

Injured in the shooting was Ahmed Canty. He is receiving treatment at Memorial University Medical Center and his injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown. Apparently, Canty was walking alone on Bull Street when someone opened fire on him.
