Several Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) career centers in south Georgia are closed today, Friday, Sept. 2, because of tropical storm Hermine. Some other career centers will have delayed openings.

The five career centers that are closed today are in Brunswick, Hinesville, Kings Bay, Savannah and Valdosta.

The offices in the following cities will have delayed openings: Cairo, Thomasville and Tifton will open at 10 a.m. and Douglas will open at 12 noon. These times are subject to change due to weather conditions.

The public should continue to monitor the GDOL’s web site dol.georgia.gov for updates.
