Georgia Lottery Earns Over $1 Billion for Education

Officials recently announced that the Georgia Lottery has had a record-breaking year. $1,097,567,000 was earned for education. The Georgia Lottery, which has earned over $17.6 billion since its inception, is used to fund various educational programs in Georgia.

Governor Nathan Deal had this to say: “Educational programs funded by the lottery continue to lay the groundwork for Georgia’s evolving and growing workforce. FY 2016’s record-breaking profits will continue to help each child in Georgia attain a quality education from start to finish.”
