The Georgia Department of Human Services has issued a press release stating that a recent hacking incident has compromised the security of an unnamed major retailer.

Up to 7,292 EBT cards that were used at the retailer may have been affected.

The GDHS is working with Xerox, who produces the cards, to contact everyone who may have been affected. Replacement cards will be issued by mail.

Anyone who suspects fraudulent activity should contact Xerox at 1-800-656-1344.
