We have determined the 1/22/2017 05:52-05:58 a.m. event along Zoar Rd in (barely) Jeff Davis and Appling counties was an EF-1 Tornado. Length was about 11.1 miles, max width 1900 yards and he parent thunderstorm was apparently moving between 50  and 60 mph in forward speed. The peak wind speed was 110 mph in the vicinity of  County Farm Road. The most impressive damage was in that area and at nearby Zoar Methodist Church. We are unaware of any injuries or fatalities at this time. This was a difficult survey as the very rapid forward speed led to a convergent damage path making it look like straight line winds and you had to look very carefully for convergence on the extreme northern portion of the track.
