Marsha F. Bishop, age 71, of Alma passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Lakeview Retirement Center under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mrs. Bishop was born November 25, 1951 in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Robert Kirby and the late Olie Fay Fite Kirby and she was the widow of Donald Bishop. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Waycross and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Rev. Bryant (Angie) Bishop of Alma; a granddaughter, Anna Bishop of Alma; and brothers, Bobby (Renee) Kirby of Waycross and Ronald (Carol) Kirby of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Altamaha Baptist Church in Baxley with Rev. Rob Richardson and Jana Yawn officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Nail, Chad Hutchinson, Dylan Hutchinson, Kyler Hutchinson, Luke Hutchinson, and Kenny Murphy.

Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Lakeview Retirement Center.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at 2:00 pm in Waycross.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
