Mrs. Karen Richardson, age 64, of Baxley passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Karen was born August 24, 1958, in Bacon County to the late Calvin Turner and the late Julie Wade Harris. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Williams, and a sister, Sherry Leggett. Karen was a devoted, loving wife and mother and a member of the Hazlehurst Church of God. She was a devout prayer warrior who enjoyed reading God’s word and interceded for those in need. She was a light in dark and hard times to many who confided in her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Terrell Richardson of Baxley; daughter, Casey Richardson of Baxley; sister, Robin Crosby of Baxley; and two brothers, Danny (Selina) Turner of Alma and Carroll (Diane) Turner of Gautier, MS. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10:00AM in the Hazlehurst Church of God with Pastor John Nunes & Pastor Virginia Herrington officiating.

Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Alma.

Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2023, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lane Wade, Ronald Wade, Mikel Crosby, Jorge Chavez, Patrick Spell, and David Barber.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
