People may be mostly stuck at home with little to do during the coronavirus pandemic, but apparently they’re still not interested in watching the Primetime Emmy Awards. TV Insider reports that Sunday’s socially distant awards show raked in a paltry 5.1 million viewers–almost two million less than last year’s previous record low of 6.9 million. This year’s ceremony had more than a pandemic it was up against. This year was the first time the Emmys ever had to air against both NBC Sunday Night Football and the NBA Playoffs on the East Coast in primetime.
