America’s Second Harvest and the Appling County Food Bank have partnered to bring the Mobile Food Pantry to Baxley. It will bring 25,000 to 30,000 lbs to food, enough to serve 400 households. The food will be given away free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The location will be Barnes Street at the old elementary school behind FNB South. The boxes will contain produce, canned goods, meat, and milk. This will be a drive-through giveaway where one is expected to remain in their car and open their trunk.
The only requirements are that one must have a picture ID, list their name, address, and sign a TEFAF form.
The giveaway will be Wednesday, June 24th.
