Baxley Funeral Home announces the death of Apostle Marvin Sumner of Jesup, Georgia who departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic the family will have a private graveside service.

Apostle Sumner leaves to cherish his memories, his three loving children: Pamela Diane Sumner and Kevin Lamar Sumner of Baxley, Georgia; Marvin Hankerson, Sr. of Macon, Georgia.Two handsome grandsons; Marvin Hankerson, Jr. and Jamarie Williams.Two Special God Daughters: Linda Campell Roberts and Nancy Rooks Veale. Two Sisters: Annie Pearl (Lonnie) Zinnamon and Carrie (Theadore) Stevens.Two brothers: Henry Sumner and Garrett Sumner and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
