Due to the Governor’s Shelter in Place Executive Order, the Appling County School Nutrition Program has modified their meal distribution and will resume feeding on Tuesday, April 14th.
In an effort to continue feeding students and maintain the health and safety of everyone involved, we are streamlining this effort by establishing one pick-up point. There will no longer be mobile bus routes. All meals must be picked up at the Appling County Elementary Complex from 11:00 am – 12 :30 pm.
Students will receive one breakfast bag and one lunch bag that each include 5 meals. The Appling County Board of Education will examine the health of all volunteers in the feeding process on a week by week basis to determine how long feeding will continue.
Below are some key points to remember when you come through the drive through meal distribution:
• Cars will circle around to pick up meals
• Do not park or get out of your car
• Meals will be delivered to each car by placing them in the trunk
• School Resource Officers will be onsite to assist with the drive through
