Today, Appling County High School Administration was notified of a possible threat that would affect Appling County High School. Within a short time the School Resource Deputies were notified and an investigation was conducted. At this time, there is no immediate threat to the school. Parents, please speak to your children about the seriousness of making any threats as they will be taken seriously and dealt with severely and reported to our SRD’s and local law enforcement. Again, threats of any kind including verbal comments, written, social media such as FaceBook, email, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.. , will be taken seriously. Also, please encourage them to notify our SRD’s, teachers, and administrators of anything they hear about possible safety threats to our students and our schools.
