The Appling County Pirate Baseball Team faced Rutland in a double-header in the second round of the playoffs. They won the first game after a hard-fought battle with a score of 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth. They won the second game with a score of 5-2. That advances the Pirates to the Elite Eight in the playoffs!
