The Appling County Lady Pirate Softball team defeated the Islands High School Lady Sharks in an away match. The first game was on Tuesday, October 9th. The Lady Pirates won by a score of 13-5. They had to move the second game to Monday, October 15th due to weather. The Lady Pirates won that game by a score of 7-1. That advances them to the Sweet Sixteen in the State Playoffs.
Their next match will be against the Rutland Lady Hurricanes. The date and time have not yet been announced.
