On Sunday, October 14, 2018, at approximately 2015 hours, the Appling County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Post Road in reference to a shooting. Preliminary investigation revealed the victim to be 12 years old. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The body will be transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
