According to Baxley Police Chief James Godfrey:
On August 6th at approximately 11:05 am, officers responded to Vidal’s Mobile Home Park Lot 14 in reference to an unresponsive person.
Officers met with some friends who had come by to check on the resident. Upon entering the home, they discovered blood in the living room area, and a trail of blood down the hall to the bathroom where they discovered the resident deceased. The EMS and EMA units were called to the scene along with the coroner.
A towel was found wrapped around the resident’s right wrist in an attempt to stop the bleeding from a cut to his wrist. The scene was secured and processed. Afterwards, the body of Eduardo Figueroa Coriano, age 49 of Baxley, was released to the coroner’s office pending further forensic investigation.
