On Friday, July 27th, an automobile accident happened at the intersection of County Farm Road Extension and State Route 23.
Shortly before 2:00 pm, a Chevy Malibu was traveling south on County Farm. A BMW 335I was traveling east on State Route 23. The driver of the Malibu stated that she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of State Route 23 and looked both ways twice but did not see the BMW. The Malibu then pulled into the path of the BMW. The front of the BMW struck the front passenger side of the Malibu.
First area of impact was in the eastbound lane of State Route 23 at the intersection of County Farm Extension. After impact, the Malibu came to a controlled rest on the south shoulder of State Route 23. After impact, the BMW traveled southeast 89 feet and exited the roadway, striking a ditch embankment with its undercarriage. The second area of impact was 22 feet east of Pine Level Church Road. The BMW continued east for 211 feet and came to an uncontrolled rest facing east.
No injuries were reported for the driver of the Malibu. The driver of the BMW received non-life threatening injuries.
