BREAKING: Appling Detention Center Escapee Captured After Manhunt

BREAKING:

According to Appling County Sheriff Mark Melton, escaped prisoner Dillon Ray Miller has been apprehended by law enforcement agencies. Earlier this morning authorities pursued Miller, who was driving a stolen vehicle, in a high speed chase. He crashed in Jeff Davis County. He was located and captured several hours later in a wooded area.

Miller was being sought by police since his escape from the Appling Detention Center on April 2nd. He was awaiting transport to the Georgia Department of Corrections after being convicted of Burglary, and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer.

Sheriff Melton would like to thank the public and all law enforcement agencies who participated in capturing Miller.
