UPDATE:
According to Pierce County officials, a suspect has been arrested in connection with this incident. 48-year-old Byron Kenneth Jernigan was taken in by authorities and is being held in Pierce County Jail.
He is expected to face charges of murder, armed robbery, home invasion, and arson.

A couple living in Pierce County was victimized in a home invasion. The attack, which happened on Doris Street on Sunday night, left a woman dead and her husband injured. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
