Superintendent Dr. Scarlett Miles Copeland has received an invitation to serve on a Superintendents Advisory Committee for Dr. Thomas Koballa for Georgia Southern University. GSU is undergoing a merger with Armstrong State University which will expand the College of Education’s service region considerably. The purpose of the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee will be to provide GSU’s Educational Department and Dr. Koballa with advice and guidance to enhance K-12 leader development, teacher effectiveness, and student success. The Advisory Committee will assist 130 faculty members located across 3 campuses in Statesboro, Savannah, and Hinesville. Dr. Copeland states she is looking forward to this wonderful partnership between K-12 and higher education at the University level. These partnerships will only strengthen educators preparation, as well as benefit school systems who employee them.
