On Wednesday, January 11, a single-vehicle accident happened on Red Oak Road in Baxley. For reasons unknown, an 18-wheeler went off-road and flipped over. Baxley Police officers, Georgia State Patrol officers, and EMS responders arrived on the scene quickly.
They found the driver of the vehicle still trapped inside. They freed him and got him on a helicopter, which lifted him to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah for treatment.
