Jimmy Poole, 71, has been indicted by a grand jury for the death of his wife. He will face charges of malice murder and felony murder.
The charges stem from an incident in which, Berdie Poole, 67, was shot in the head at her Earnest Webber Road residence on August 21. She was able to reach a phone and dial 911, and she managed to tell the operator that she’d been shot in the head. Her body was found at the scene by Toombs County deputies. Jimmy denied killing her, but, after examination of the crime scene, he was arrested.
