Throughout November, the Appling Healthcare System will be collecting donations to send care packages to deployed troops! Items may be dropped off at the reception desk in the pavilion Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

The following items are needed:

Drinks

Capri-Sun, Kool-Aid packets, Country Time lemonade, Gatorade (and Gatorade singles), Lipton Tea mixes, Crystal Light packets.

Food

Chocolate, (it’s fine if it melts!) candy of all kinds, canned meats, canned chips, canned cheese, cookies, crackers, and gum of all kinds, Hickory Farms products, hot sauce, mints, nuts, pretzels, protein bars, meal bars.

Fun Stuff

Books (including comic books), magazines, board games, electronic games, crossword puzzles, playing cards, footballs, soccer balls, Nerf balls.

Health and Hygiene

Antacids, Band-Aids, lip balm, cough drops, deodorant, dental floss, disposable razors, foot powder, hair brush/comb, tissues, mouthwash (without alcohol), Neosporin, Q-tips, bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving gel in a tube, toilet paper, toothbrushes, tooth paste, wet wipes.

Misc

Batteries, can opener, boot socks (gray, green and black only; must have thick soles), envelopes, stationary, gloves, journal, pencils, pens, plastic utensils, sheets (twin size) pillows, warm blankets, Ziploc bags (all sizes).
