10-13-16—Answered a call to Orvin Road in reference to Suspicious Activity. Complainant stated she heard a loud knock on her back door, but saw no one, then heard a gunshot. A spent shell casing was found on the highway nearby. Area was patrolled with negative results.
10-14-16—Answered a call to Poor Robin Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
10-14-16—Answered a call to County Farm Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
10-14-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 121 South in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
10-14-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 15 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
10-15-16—Answered a call to Kingdom Hall in reference to a Vehicle Fire. Vehicle on fire was parked in roadway. Baxley Fire Department responded, extinguished the flames and moved vehicle from roadway. Minimal damage was done to the vehicle.
10-15-16—A routine traffic stop on Brobston Street resulted in the arrest of Robin Eulon Wooten age 45 of Baxley. Wooten was charged with DUI 2nd, Tail Lights Required, Possession of Marijuana, Open Container in Vehicle, and Driving with Suspended License.
10-15-16—Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Dog Bite Victim. Victim stated he was walking near City Circle and Poor Robin road when a male pit-bull dog bit his leg. Complainant does not know owner of the dog. Victim was transported to Appling ER for treatment.
10-15-16—Answered a call to East River Road in reference to a Civil Matter. Complainant stated a subject is continually slandering her name.
10-15-16—A routine traffic stop on Cook Street resulted in the arrest of Brian K. Perry age 48 of Baxley. Perry was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, and Drugs in Original Container.
10-15-16—Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to Cruelty to Animals. Two horses were found to have been without food for an extended period. One horse had to be euthanized. Investigation led to the arrest of Susan Meeks age 43 of Baxley. Meeks was charged with two counts of Cruelty to Animals.
10-16-16— Answered a call to Prentiss Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone has taken his Honda dirt bike valued at $4,100.00 from his residence. Stolen dirt bike was entered into GCIC. Investigation continues.
10-16-16—Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to Suicide Threats. Complainant stated her son was making threats to kill himself. Son left the residence and went to a nearby field. Area was patrolled but son was not found. Complainant was advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office if any other assistance was needed.
10-16-16—Answered a call to Dyal School road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
10-17-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft. Complainant stated missing from her residence is her IPad Air 16 G valued at $500.00. Investigation led to the complainant’s son being the offender. Complainant did not want to press charges at this time.
10-17-16—Answered a call to Bowen Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
10-17-16—Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated renter of his rental property found several items of his that had been stolen. Complainant also reported more items that were stolen. Investigation led to warrants being secured for the arrest of Ashton Jamal Baxley for Theft by Taking.
10-18-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Burglary/Theft that occurred on April Lane. Complainant stated two male subjects broke the window to her shop, entered and took a Poulan Chainsaw. Complainant saw the subjects leave running through the woods. Investigation continues.
10-18-16—Answered a call to Zoar Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
10-19-16—Answered a call to Blackshear Hwy. in reference to an Unruly Juvenile. Complainant stated his fourteen year old daughter refuses to mind her parents and do her chores.
10-19-16—Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone had stolen his Honda water pump and a Milwaukee hand grinder. Investigation continues.
