The St. James A. M. E. Church located in Comas Street in Baxley will observe Homecoming Worship Services beginning on Monday, October 3 through Friday October 7 at 7:30 pm nightly.
Monday’s messenger will be Rev. Christopher Wilson. The Thankful New Jersey M. B. Church and the Bethel A. M. E. Church will be in charge of the service. Tuesday’s messenger will be Rev. Abra Lattany-Reed. The Harper Chapel U. M. Church and the Mt. Olive M. B. Church will be in charge of the service. On Wednesday, Rev. J. M. Blair will bring the message and the First African M. B. Church will be in charge of the service. Thursday’s message will be delivered by Rev. Joe. F. Moore and the First Pleasant Hill M. B. Church will be in charge. On Friday, Rev. James Carlyle will bring the message and the Mizpah M. B. Church will be in charge. The celebration concludes on Sunday, October 9 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Douglas Stinson, pastor of St. James bringing the message. Dinner will be served in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the morning service.
