09-06-16—Answered a call to County Maintenance Shop in reference to a Prank. Employee found a video camera mounted in the female restroom. Investigation revealed the camera was set up as a prank/joke. The camera was never in operation.
09-08-16—Answered a call to Parker’s Convenience Store/Surrency in reference to a Theft. Employee/Cashier stated she was distracted by two males that entered the store. One of the males stole three $10.00 lottery tickets. Investigation continues.
09-09-16—Answered a call to Branch Road in reference to a Dog Bite. Complainant stated he was at a residence that had a Beware of Dog sign, but got out at the residence. German Shepard dog bit complainant on his leg. Complainant went to the Appling ER, was treated and released. Dog owner was notified and owner stated the dog was up to date on all shots.
09-09-16—Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to an Assault. Complainant stated she went to her ex-boyfriend’s residence to get her puppy. She stated her ex-boyfriend hit her several times but she did not want to press charges.
09-10-16—Answered a call to Penny Morris Road in reference to a Theft which led to the arrest of Anthony Dallas Howard age 22 of Baxley. Howard was charged with Duty Upon Striking Fixture, Failure to Provide Assistance. Criminal Damage to Property, and Theft by Taking.
09-10-16—Answered a call to Hill Top Road in reference to a Civil Matter. Complainant and a subject had a difference on the ownership of a dog.
09-10-16—Answered a call to US#1 in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
09-10-16—Answered a call to US#1 north in reference to Suicide Threats. Complainant stated he had thoughts of suicide. Complainant went to the Appling ER for mental evaluation.
09-10-16—Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Dog Bite Victim. Male two year old child was bit by a dog while holding a kitten. Owner of the dog stated the dog has had no shots and would be isolated for ten days.
09-11-16—Answered a call to Ed Carter Road in reference to a Dispute. Complainant stated a neighbor’s horse continues to come on his property, and eats his cow hay and feed, and continues to run in the neighborhood. Owner of the horse stated the land the horse is on is not the complainant’s.
09-11-16—Answered a call to Luckie Street in reference to a Forgery/Elder Abuse. Complainant stated a subject took a check of her’s forged her name, and cashed the check. Investigation talked with the offender and the offender paid the complainant all monies due on 9-13-16.
09-12-16—A routine traffic stop on US#1/Troup Street led to the arrest of Christopher Paul Geiger age 30 of Baxley. Geiger is charged with Driving w/o Headlights when required, Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, DUI/Drugs/Alcohol, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
09-11-16—Answered a call to Satilla Church Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
09-11-16—Answered a call to Dunn’s Lake Road in reference to a one-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
09-11-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Possible Child Molestation. Complainant stated her eight year old daughter had been molested while in another county visiting relatives. DFAC’s was notified . Case was turned over to Toombs County Sheriff’s Office due to incident location. Investigation continues.
09-12-16—Answered a call to Medders Road in reference to Theft or Lost of Mislaid Property. Complainant stated she is missing several pieces of her jewelry valued at approximately $3,100.00. Complainant is not sure if she has misplaced the items or if they were stolen. Investigation continues.
09-12-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft and Forgery of Checks. Complainant stated a female subject posted his hydraulic car jack on Facebook for sale without his permission. Also he found where the female subject had forged several checks on his now deceased mother. Warrant to be secured for Theft by Taking on Aushalina Leggett. Investigation continues.

09-13-16—A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of Sammy Eugene Norris age 30 of Baxley. Norris was charged with Expired Vehicle Tag, Possession of Schedule 11 Narcotics, Possession of Drug Related Object, and Pills not in Original Container.
09-13-16—Answered a call to Dyal School Road in reference to a Burglary. Investigation led to the arrest of Juan Gabriel Camacho age 17 of Baxley. Camacho was charged with Burglary. Also a female juvenile was turned over to Juvenile Justice involved with the case.
09-14-16—Answered a call to Miles Bell Circle in reference to Criminal Damage to Property. Complainant stated he found pry marks on his shelter door where someone had tried to pry it open. Nothing was missing. Investigation continues.
09-14-16—Answered a call to Thornton Road which led to the arrest of Mikey Dyal age 52 of Baxley. Dyal was charged with Simple Battery.
09-14-16—Answered a call to Ricardo Street in reference to Theft by Deception. Complainant paid $4,400 to two subjects to make repairs to their pool in June. No repairs were made as of 9-14-16. Subjects then gave the complainant a check for $4,400.00 which, the complainant found out from the bank there was not sufficient funds for the check.
09-14-16—Answered a call to Cray Road in reference to an Affray. Complainant stated two subjects were calling each other names and began to fight. Responding officer advised both subjects to stay away from each other.
09-15-16—Answered a call to Buckhead Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated her son and his friend came into her mobile home and vandalized the inside of the home.
09-15-16—Answered a call to Buck Williams Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone went inside his barn and stole his pressure washer, two Husqurvarna chain saws, and a five gallon gas can. Investigation continues.
09-15-16—A routine traffic stop on Azalea Road led to the arrest of Jacqueline Nicole Taylor age 29 of Baxley. Taylor was charged with Possession of Drug Related Object.
09-15-16—Answered a call to Buck Head Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone had stolen two switches from her two lawn mowers that were in her yard. Investigation continues.
