The SCMPD reported that a burglary and shooting occurred during the evening of September 4 on the 6800 block of Waters Avenue.

An intruder broke into a home and was caught by surprise by an armed homeowner. Gunfire was exchanged which resulted in the intruder sustaining an injury. The intruder then fled on foot.
