15-Year-Old Killed in Lowndes County Bus Crash

On Monday, August 29, an 18-wheeler crashed into the side of a school bus on I-75 in Lowndes County. The bus was carrying at least 30 children. Tragically, 15-year-old Rebecca Hall lost her life.

19 of the children in the crash are receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the wreck.

The 18-wheeler was being driven by 58-year-old Michael Scarpaci of Illinois. It is not yet known if he will face charges in connection with this incident.
