Recently, Greg and Amy Thornton were arrested at Jay’s IGA in Alma. The couple is suspected of forging over a dozen checks at several local businesses. The couple is being held in custody at the Bacon County Jail. They are expected to face 21 charges of forgery. More charges may be added because police allegedly found evidence of substance abuse and doctor shopping.
