24-year-old Royheem Delshawn Deeds was found by authorities in Nassau County, Florida. Deeds is the primary suspect in the murder of Eastman police officer Tim Smith, which happened on Saturday evening when Smith answered a call about a suspicious person.

Deeds was hiding in the trunk of his sister’s car when police found him. The exact charges he will face are not yet known. His sister, Franshawn Deeds, and her boyfriend, Jamil Mitchell, were also arrested.

Officer Smith had been on the force for approximately five years. He was father to three children.
