07-29-16—Answered a call to Johns Lane in reference to a Fraud/Scam. Complainant stated she received a phone call stating a family member was in jail and she needed to Western Union the money to get them out. Complainant complied and later found out it was a scam.
07-29-16—Answered a call to Miller Road in reference to a Domestic which led to the arrest of Houston Franklin Griffin age 19 of Baxley. Griffin was charged with Simple Battery.
07-29-16—Answered a call to Friendship Church Road in reference to a Theft. Local Contractor left his work trailer parked in front of the church and someone broke the locks and stole over $8000.00 worth of tools. Investigation led to warrants being secured for the arrest of Jennifer Brooks age 35 of Baxley, and Caleb Perry age 25 of Baxley. Investigation continues.
07-29-16—Answered a call to Asbury Church Road in reference to a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
07-30-16—A routine traffic stop on Hwy. 341 East led to the arrest of Dalton Cajun Carter age 19 of Waycross, Ga. Carter was charged with Lighted Headlights required at Dark, and VGCS/Marijuana.
07-30-16—Answered a call to Red Oak Road in reference to a Mental Subject.
Family member stated their son suffers from autism and went into a rage breaking the windshield of their vehicle, and also doing damage inside the home. Subject was taken to Appling ER for mental evaluation.
07-30-16—Answered a call to Wayne Jones Road in reference to a Swimming Accident. Family member found the child at the bottom of the pool. CPR was performed on the child and recovered. Child was taken to Appling ER.
07-30-16—Answered a call to Graham Zoar Road in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated someone entered the home by taking out an air condition window unit, and stole an 52” Flat Screen T.V. Investigation continues.

07-31-16—Answered a call to Lennox Road in reference to Threats. Complainant stated the father of her son made threats against her.
08-01-16—Answered a call to Altamaha Elementary School in reference to a Burglary. Taken from class room was duck tape, bottled drinks, and an Apple I-Pad valued at approximately $580.00. Investigation continues.
08-01-16—Answered a call to Max Deen Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated his 2004 Kawaski four wheeler that was parked under his shelter is missing. Four Wheeler was entered into GCIC records. Investigation continues.
08-01-16—Answered a call to Golden Isle West in reference to a Burglary. Complainant local store owner stated several items were stolen from his business. Investigation led to the items being recovered and additional warrants are being taken on Chad Walker age 35of Baxley and Latisha May for Burglary.

08-02-16—Answered a call to Buckhead Road in reference to a Civil Matter. Complainant stated he let a family member get his aluminum boat, and when he went to get it back the family member would not let him have it.
08-02-16—Answered a call to Golden Isles West in reference to a Domestic.
Complainant stated she and her boyfriend have been having fights and wants to leave him. Complainant was advised of her options.
08-03-16—Answered a call to Baxley Municipal Airport in reference to a Fight. Complainant stated a subject asked him to meet him at the airport to talk. When subject arrived a fight ensued, which led to the subject getting a gun from his vehicle and pointing it at the complainant. Warrant was secured for the arrest of Shane McLain age 33 of Baxley for Pointing Gun/Pistol at Another and Affray. Citation was issued to Joshua Terry Altman age 30 of Baxley for Affray.
08-03-16—A routine traffic stop on Bill Morris Road led to the arrest of Robert Leon Shell age 53 of Baxley. Shell was charged with VGCS/marijuana, Driving while license withdrawn, and No insurance.
08-03-16—Answered a call to Holland Road Ext. in reference to a Prowler. Complainant stated a neighbor stated he saw someone in his front yard with a light. Complainant further stated his tool box was taken from under his shelter several weeks ago. Deputies checked the area but was unable to locate anyone. Investigation continues.
08-04-16—Answered a call to Gabriel Lane in reference to an Entering Auto/Theft. Complainant stated someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her Michael Kors pocketbook, wallet, US Currency, Rayban sunglasses, driver’s license, and several debit cards. Investigation continues.
08-05-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report Harassment. Complainant stated his ex-girlfriend continues to harass him with text and social media.
