In October, Georgia Power will be closing several of its offices in south Georgia. The Claxton office will be among them.

Georgia Power officials indicated that the widespread use of electronic means of payment is responsible for the close. To minimize difficulty for customers, Georgia Power will be expanding the number of stores that function as authorized payment locations.
