On August 1, Malik Jackson lost his life to a single gunshot. The 18-year-old was in Lamarville Park at the time of the shooting. Nearby witnesses heard the shooting and found Jackson lying on the ground. Emergency services arrived at the scene quickly but were unable to save the young man’s life.
