At 10:50 PM on July 12, 18-year-old Jamal Ruth and two friends were driving in Savannah when assailant(s) unknown opened fire on their vehicle.

Ruth was hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Fortunately, the wound was not fatal.

The surprise attack happened quickly, and little information is available on the suspect(s) at this time.
