In the early morning of July 10, local police responded to a Coffee County address in regard to a person found unresponsive.

The body of Domingo Ortiz was found at the scene. He was pronounced dead, having apparently lost his life to a stab wound. His body will be autopsied by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s medical staff.

Police arrested Miguel Hernandez Santos in connection with the stabbing.
