Police are investigating the death of Kay Carter. The 58-year-old woman’s body was found unresponsive in the swimming pool on her Blackshear property on the evening of July 2.

After failing to revive her, EMS responders transported her to Waycross’s Mayo Health Clinic. There she was pronounced dead.

A cause of death for Carter has not yet been determined. Investigation continues.
