On May 3rd, an officer in Pierce county attempted to stop a vehicle for suspected DUI. The suspect fled, instigating a car chase that ended in Ware county after the suspect collided his vehicle into the officer’s patrol car, sending himself careening into a ditch. Officers arrested Richard Howell who was immediately hospitalized, as he’d attempted to destroy drug evidence by consuming it. He is expected to be charged with DUI, possession of controlled substances, and traffic violations.
